THE COURSE
The Human Factors and Resilience Stream at CHRIS is excited to offer two 2-day problem solving training courses using Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM), to solve everyday problems in healthcare. FRAM is used both retrospectively and prospectively to improve systems to ensure quality and patient safety. It is particularly useful for developing effective ways to accomplish everyday work under varying conditions.
Bring your workplace problem and a laptop, and be guided through the FRAM approach by one of the most experienced experts in the field.
COURSE CONVENER
Jeanette Hounsgaard, MSc, BSc (Mechanical Engineering), is the deputy manager and training developer at the Centre of Quality, Region of Southern Denmark. For more than 30 years she has worked in Quality and Risk Management. For the last 7 years, she has worked together with Professor Erik Hollnagel and colleagues in Denmark and internationally, using the FRAM in the clinical practice to analyse adverse events, to prepare risk assessments and to improve healthcare quality by changing the design of systems.
WHO?
The course is suitable for clinicians, risk managers, quality coordinators, and other healthcare professionals who are interested in exploring a new method to solve a problem in their workplace. This is an introductory course; no previous experience with FRAM is required.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a workplace problem and be guided through the FRAM approach.
COST
Standard: $1000
Full-time students: $800
Early Bird: $800 if you registered by 17th of March (10pm AEST)
The course fees cover teaching, handouts, course notes, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.
